In its continued mission to support orphans and vulnerable children affected by the ongoing crisis in Cameroon’s Southwest region, CARITAS Diocese of Buea ensures that menstrual hygiene is not neglected. Including sanitary pads in psychosocial support packages reflects a deeper truth: mental wellbeing and menstrual dignity go hand in hand.

Through this approach and guided by the 2025 Menstrual Hygiene Day theme, CARITAS helps young girls break free from stigma, shame, and silence. Each pad given is a step toward confidence, pride, and participation. It’s about more than hygiene; it’s about human dignity, and a reminder that in every cycle, there is strength and worth.
